ITV is looking forward to a bumper summer as it pins its hopes on a surge in advertising revenues over the World Cup.
Bosses are expected to strike an upbeat tone about the year ahead when they deliver annual results for 2025 on Thursday.
With the tournament running from early June to mid-July, advertising revenues are expected to be sharply higher in both the second and third quarters.

ITV will show 51 matches, including England’s opening match against Croatia, their final group match against Panama, and Scotland’s opening fixture against Morocco.
Boss Carolyn McCall will also be quizzed over the sale of its TV channels and streaming platform to Sky.
