ITV pins advertising hopes on World Cup success

ITV is looking forward to a bumper summer as it pins its hopes on a surge in advertising revenues over the World Cup.

Bosses are expected to strike an upbeat tone about the year ahead when they deliver annual results for 2025 on Thursday.

With the tournament running from early June to mid-July, advertising revenues are expected to be sharply higher in both the second and third quarters.
